10月27日9:55，湖南科技大学秋季运动会3000米预决赛拉开了序幕，黄莹和覃小婵代表15vip太阳集团参加女子组3000米预决赛，单金鑫和符清宴代表15vip太阳集团参加男子组3000米预决赛。
一声令下，一声枪响，运动老将黄莹一马当先，以稳定差距来稳固优势。在近八圈的长跑中，稳住步调，保存体力，始终保持着第一的位置，最终完胜长跑。而另一位商院健儿覃小婵，爆发力与耐力齐飞。到最后一圈时，她咬紧牙关，提速冲刺，以微弱优势超越前者。最终，黄莹和覃小婵分别取得了第一和第三的好成绩。
比赛结束后，活跃的气氛和高涨的热情仍充斥着全场。“听学弟学妹们一个劲地叫莹姐，我感到很激动和振奋！”黄莹如此说道。
